Aodh Ruadh host Armagh Cuchulainns
Aodh Ruadh played host to Armagh Cuchulainns in Pairc Aoidh Ruaidh on Saturday, 28th November. The Armagh Cuchulainns team is made up on a cross-community basis of boys from the four second level schools in Armagh city. The team were brought to Ballyshannon by Tom Daly who travelled to San Francisco with the team earlier in the year. There was a good crowd in attendance for the match which was played very much in the 'friendly' spirit. Neither team had been in action since August so there was a certain amount of ring-rustiness evident and exhibited primarily in the form of wayward shooting. The appearance of Cuchulainns manager and former Armagh great, the wildly overage Diarmuid Marsden, in the second half did little to improve matters, especially after he was flattened by Breanainn Drummond! Aodh Ruadh prevailed on the scoreboard, but it was a day where sport was very much the victor. Below are some shots from Brian Drummond.
