Rip-roaring clash between Aodh Ruadh and Naomh Bríd
The under 10s had their first game of the season last Saturday when they took on Naomh Bríd. Erne Gaels had been forced to withdraw at short notice due to a death in the club, for which we record our sincere condolences. Naomh Bríd were great to step in at short notice, although crossed wires meant they sent up their under 12s. Still both sides entered into the game in the right spirit and both squads learned lot from the experience. There were a lot of gutsy, brave performances from Aodh Ruadh in what was a very encouraging outing. The team were Kenzie Ayres, Daniel Breen, Conor Cleary, Oisín Daly, Padraig Daly, Ryan Daly, Shane Delahunty, Michael Doogan, JJ Doran, Darragh Flood Dolan, Jack Gallagher, James Gallagher, Aaron Horan, Eoghan Kelly, James McGinley, Shane McGloin, Cian McKenna, Cillian Meehan, Aaron Neilan, Tom Murphy, David Roper and Eoin Summerville. Also worth a mention was the Naomh Bríd goalkeeper who pulled off a series of super stops. Thanks also to Gerard Ferguson who delivered a Pat McEnaney level of officiating.
