Challenge game at Erne Park
Army 7-8, Ballyshannon 2-1
On Sunday last a Erne Park Ballyshannon 17th Battalion and Ballyshannon Aodh Ruadh meet in one of the first big challenge games of the season at this venue.

Ballyshannon victorious
On Sunday at Erne park, Ballyshannon were victorious over a team representative of the 4th Brigade. Though the game lacked thrills it was fought out in a real sporting manner and excellent football was at times served up.
Ballyshannon 3-5, 4th Brigade 1-4.

Corlea and Ballshannon were the contestants at Erne Park on Sunday last when they met in the Southern Divisional junior championship competition, the former having a comfortable win.

Ballyshannon emerged victors over Doengal in their first game int he senior county championship at the latter venue on Sunday.

Gweedore wins semi-final
Before a good attendance of spectators at the Gaelic Park, Glenties on Sunday Gweedore qualified for the final of the Doengal senior footbal championship (Dr. Maguire Cup) by defeating the title-holders Ballyshannon by 3-6 to 2-5 in the semi-final of the competition after leading at half-timeby 1 goal 3 points to 1 goal 1point.

On Sunday last at the Gaelic Park Bundoran a goodly number of spectators were treated to a very enjoyable exhibition of our native games when a juvenile and senior team from Ballyshannon met teams of equal grading from Bundoran.

Owing to unfavourable conditions a small number of spectators turned out to witness the challenge games at Erne Park on Sunday last.
The juvenile game which preceeded the senior game provided the best fare of the day. After a hectic struggle Ballyshannon scraped home an extra goal to win by that margin.
The senior game, Ballyshannon v Bundoran did not live up to expectations. On the part of Bundoran it was more or less an experiment in view of their game on Sunday next with Ballybofey in the junior county championship final.
