Aodh Ruadh host under 12s hurling blitz

A great day's underage hurling took place in Father Tierney park on Saturday 12th July. Aodh Ruadh hosted an under 12 hurling blitz with Saint Eunan's and Lisbellaw from Fermanagh visiting us for this event. Over 50 under 12s took part on the day. Ballyshannon beat Saint Eunan's and then played Lisbellaw in a full 15-a-side game. It was a very competitive game with spells of great hurling, passion and commitment shown by both teams. At the end of a ding dong affair the Fermanagh county champions came out on top by a goal. Thanks to referees Michael Ayres and Kevin McDermott, not forgetting everyone else who helped out on the day.
