Our under 16 hurlers qualified for the county final on Thursday last after a titanic battle with old rivals Buncrana. Aodh Ruadh got off to a great start and led at half time by 1-6 to 1-1. It was clear that the Buncrana men wouldn't go down without a fight and they battled throughout the second half, but they could not breach the Ballyshannon defence. Aodh Ruadh showed great spirit and ran out worthy winners on a 1-10 to 1-4 score line. They now play Burt in the county final. The date for that game remains to be confirmed.
