Late goals put gloss on Eunan's victory
Under 14 Hurling

Aodh Ruadh 2-6
Saint Eunan's 3-10
Father Tierney Park
Aodh Ruadh under 14s played Saint Eunan's in the league semi-final in Father Tierney Park on Thursday last. The lads opened very slowly and appeared very tired due to their exertions over the last few weeks. After 20 minutes they found themselves six points to no score behind. They eventually got to the pace of the game and finished the half strongly to go in level at half time 0-6 to 1-3. The second half was a real ding dong affair with both teams playing with great intensity, throughout the second half there was never more than a score between the teams, entering the last five minutes the teams were level, but the efforts Aodh Ruadh made to get back into the game took its toll and Eunan's finished the stronger with two late goals putting a gloss on the final score line of Saint Eunan's 3-10 Aodh Ruadh 2-6. The lads realise the required work rate wasn't put in against Burt the week before leaving us facing this difficult semi-final and again we failed to get a full team performance against Saint Eunan's. The lads have now got to focus on the difficult championship quarter-final away to Carndonagh on the 31st May.
