Aodh Ruadh are running a Fantasy Race For Sam 2012 competition to run in parallel with the provincial and All-Ireland championships. It works like this.
Competition Rules
- Entry is €20. You can enter as often as you like
- All entrants names, team names and monies to be in by Friday 18th May
- The draw for teams/players will take place on Saturday 19th May
- Each entrant will get a "team" from each province
- Each entrant will get a "player/scorer" from each province
- All championship games including the qualifiers will be included
- The Sligo/New York game has taken place (6th May) and any entrant who gets either team will have the points/result added to their score.
- No New York player will be on the player list.
- The teams and players allocated to each entrant will be randomly selected in a public draw.
Scoring
- Teams get 10 points for a win
- Teams gets 5 points for a draw
In the event of extra time the scoring will reflect the result at the end of extra time and not 70 minutes. - Your player gets a point for every point scored. Goals count as 3 points.
- Your team gets a bonus of 25 points for winning their provincial title.
- Your team gets a bonus of 25 points for losing the All Ireland
- Your team gets a bonus of 50 points for winning the All Ireland
Prizes and contingencies
- The winner, i.e. the entrant who accumulates most points, will receive €500
- Entrant in last place, i.e. the entrant who accumulates least points, will receive €100
- In the event of joint winners/losers prizes will be shared.
- The committee's decision is final
- The updated league table will be available on aodhruadh.org every Tuesday
