Aodh Ruadh put to the sword by exuberant Glenfin

DIVISION 1A
11 September 2005
Aodh Ruadh 0-10
Glenfin 1-18

Sean Perry reports.

Aodh Ruadh's dreadful home record continued at Fr. Tierney Park yesterday as they were put to the sword by an exuberant Glenfin side anxious to make the top four of division 1A.

In doing so, they added to the Ballyshannon side's relegation woes as they pulled away in the second half to record a very convincing victory.

With matters level at 0-7 each at the interval, Aodh Ruadh failed to capitalise on two great goal chances in the second half, Conor Gurn being denied by last gasp stops on each occasion.

Glenfin turned on the style late on with Ciaran Moy, Kevin McGlynn and Frank McGlynn to the fore in general play and score-taking duties.
