Relegation woes continue on Erneside

DIVISION 1A
9 October 2005
Aodh Ruadh 1-05
Four Masters 2-11
Sean Perry reports.

Four Masters put paid to their own relegation concerns but heaped pressure on Aodh Ruadh to avoid the drop with a victory in Fr. Tierney Park on Saturday which was only sealed in the last seven minutes.

The home side had keeper, Paul Kane sent off after 20 minutes meaning Val Murray deputised, generally to good effect as goalkeeper. A fine solo goal from Pauric Buggy two minutes into the second half had matters level at 1-2 v 0-5 and Ballyshannon boys rallied through further Buggy points to notch up a two point lead.

However, with Michael Doherty always a threat up front and Damien Cassidy typically tenacious at the back, Four Masters finished strongest with the impressive Barry Dunnion chalking up points and Doherty and Shane Carr hitting the back of the net.
