Ballyshannon see off shadow Termon side

Aodh Ruadh collected the points from this Division 1B game against County finalists Termon on Saturday evening at Father Tierney Park, although the visitors used none of the starting 15 from their semi-final win over Gaoth Dobhair.

At the end of the first half Aodh Ruadh were two to the good, 0-7 to 0-5. Four frees from Steve McElwaine had Termon in touch while Francie Friel scored a brilliant point from play.

Stephen Ward had got the home team off to a good start with a first minute point and Michael Ward and Pauric Buggy each hit two apiece in the opening half an hour.

Barry Ward was next to get in on the act with a brilliant point following excellent work by Johnny Gallagher and Michael Lawless hit the final point of the half to put two points between them.

Aodh Ruadh opened the second half strongly and Michael Ward was to the fore, scoring the first three points of the half and Pauric Buggy added a free to open up an 0-11 to 0-5 gap. Termon weren't done though and Steve McElwaine added two frees to go along with a a Daniel O'Donnell point, but Buggy had the final say with a free to seal a four-point win.
