There was a rather more competitive meeting between Four Masters and Aodh Ruadh in Tir Chonaill. Four Masters might have been the senior reserve champions last year, but the Ernesiders gave a very gritty display against them. The two corner backs, Kieran Keown and Brian Dorrian stood out, while the midfield pairing of Martin Gallagher and Matthew Thompson also had impressive outings. Up front, Turlough McIntyre was Aodh Ruadh's main danger man.
