Share of points no good for Aodh Ruadh or Burt
Division 3 Football League

Burt 0-9
Aodh Ruadh 1-6
Hibernian Park, Burt
A late, late pointed free from Burt's Joe Boyle gave the home side a share of the spoils with Aodh Ruadh on a windy evening at Hibernian Park. Both sides were looking for a win to help ease relegation fears, and a draw does neither to raise or quash hopes for both teams.
The men from Ballyshannon had the benefit of the wind for the first half but Burt frustrated them for the majority of the period. Martin Gallagher and Kerry Ryan did well for the visitors in orchestrating attacks with a couple of early scores coming via Michael 'Sticky' Ward and David Dolan.
Burt however were able to stay close with Joe Boyle and Enda McDermott taking turns at free taking duties against the wind. Aodh Ruadh's Kerry Ryan and Burt's Ciaran Dowds exchanged points but it was Ballyshannon who took a narrow half-time lead of 0-5 to 0-4.
Burt's attempts to attack with the advantage of the wind was severely damaged when Shane McDaid was sent off early in the half for two yellows. Aodh Ruadh struck for a goal soon after when a high ball in was punched into the goal.
Burt however replied with Mickey McCann and Martin Donaghey driving play forward from defence. Joe Boyle hit a couple of long range frees to narrow the gap. Three time they came close, as Aodh Ruadh seemingly inviting Burt attacks despite having an extra man. Deep into injury time, Burt were awarded a free 20m out which Boyle knocked over to tie the game.
