Morale sapping loss for Aodh Ruadh
Division 3 Football League
18 May 2013
Aodh Ruadh 1-6
Carndonagh 3-16
Following on last week's loss to Downings, Aodh Ruadh sustained another morale-sapping loss with defeat in torrential conditions in Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh to Carndonagh last Saturday. The Inishowen men simply had much more appetite for the game than the homesters and where Aodh Ruadh could manage only a solitary point in the first half Carn registered 1-6. It didn't get any better in the second half as the visitors ran in another 2-10 to leave the final scores at 3-16 to 0-6. Peter Boyle and David Dolan each got two points apiece, while Ronan McGurrin and Ciron Whoriskey accounted for the balance of Aodh Ruadh's scores. Not a game to remember for the Ernesiders and one they'll be hoping to efface with a much improved effort against Naomh Bríd this weekend.
