Encouraging showing from reserves in Downings

Senior Reserve Football Division 3

Aodh Ruadh reserves traveled to Downings, with a skeleton squad last Saturday to play a fixture left over from a few weeks back. The visitors were five points down at half time, but rallied strongly in the second half to get back within a point of the table-toppers at full time. Niall Harley put in a great performance in midfield, scoring three points in that second half revivial. Niall Murray continued his current vein of good form and also made the score sheet. Anthony Coughlan was on target with a goal and point for Ballyshannon, while David McGurrin finished the game with six points to his credit. Half forwards, Dermot Slevin and Michael McNeely also contributed scores along with fine personal displays.
