Aodh Ruadh got their division three campaign off to the perfect start with a 1-11 to 0-12 win over Buncrana in Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh on Sunday afternoon. The home side lead by 0-6 to 0-2 at half-time and a second half goal from Ronan Drummond in the second half helped ensure that Ballyshannon had a cushion on the visitors from Inishowen. There were good defensive showings from Colm Kelly and Eamonn McGrath, with Ronan and David McGurrin, the recently engaged Anthony Boyle and Conor Patton also going well for the homesters.
