Termon too hot for reserves
Senior Reserve Division 2
9 April 2017
Termon 3-14
Aodh Ruadh 0-8
Burn Road
The reserves took to the road for the second time this season when they travelled to Termon on a wet and breezy Sunday. After a difficult first outing in Ardara, the Termon challenge was to prove just as tough. Anthony Coughlin opened the scoring with a free kick, but a few errors at the back were brutally punished by Termon who raced into a 2-4 to 0-3 lead after 15 minutes, with Coughlin getting the other two Aodh Ruadh points. The visitors settled somewhat, but Termon managed to stretch their lead to 2-8 to 0-4 at the break, Daniel Warnock also getting on the score sheet for Aodh Ruadh.
Scores were slow to come early in the second half with Termon managing just a point, but at the midway point they bagged their third goal to put the result beyond doubt. Jason Granaghan and Rory Cullen scored fine points along with another Coughlin point and a well taken score from Martin Larkin in the second half, but it was to finish 3-14 to 0-8, all the damage being done by the Termon full forward who had 2-6 to his name by the end.
