No resolution to the Rule 42 debate
Report Filed: 31 March 2005
A meeting on the subject of how the club should mandate the county to vote on motions relating to Rule 42 was held in Aras Aoidh on Wednesday 30th March. The meeting did not carry any motions, mainly due to what those present perceived to be uncertainty about many issues.
Among the issues than caused concern were whether on not the motions related solely to Croke Park or whether they might eventually extend to other grounds and facilities.
A further source of concern was ambiguity over how any revenue generated from "leasing" GAA venues might be distributed.
Whilst these questions remained unresolved there was reluctance to among those present to passing the motions.
