Aodh Ruadh hosted Truagh of Monaghan in the Ulster League last Sunday. Once again an experimental Aodh Ruadh side was in action. This time they went down by 1-11 to 0-11, but there were a number of bright notes in the display. A svelte Pauric Buggy gave an exhibition of free taking in tricky wind conditions while Fiachra McIntyre and Kerry Ryan delivered combative performances in the centre of the park. PJ McGee put in a lively hours football as did Johnny Gallagher, both well prepared to rough it when necessary. Next up in the Ulster Club League is a trip of south Derry where Newbridge provide the opposition this Sunday, 1st March. The throw-in is set for 2pm. Players will be notified of travel arrangements nearer the time. The fixtures for the first five rounds of Aodh Ruadh's division two league campaign have been made.
