~ FOOTBALL ~
This Saturday 12th December, a mini blitz will take place for under 10s and under 12s at 12 noon in Munday's field. Players are asked to be there for 11.45am.Under 8 training has now concluded for the year. Training will resume again in the new hall at Colaiste Cholmcille at 11am on Saturday, 15th January 2010. Well done to our Skills Champion for the year Matthew McDonald who won the Aodh Ruadh under 8 Skills competition. Many thanks to all the coaches and parents who have helped out in any way over the year. We hope to see you all again in the new year.
~ HURLING ~
A date for your diary, Aodh Ruadh hurling committee are holding a fundraising quiz in Owen Roe's bar on Thursday, 17th December 2009 beginning at 9.30pm. This is our final event of centenary year and promises to be a fun-filled night. All monies raised will go towards the promotion and development of underage hurling in Aodh Ruadh. We ask all to support this event, especially parents of underage hurlers.~ LADIES ~
This week Wednesday, 9th December, will be the last under 12 training before Christmas. That's from 6pm to 7pm for under 10s and under 12s. There is a charge of €2 per head. Please bring runners as no other footwear will be allowed. It will take place in the new hall at Colaiste Cholmcille. A prize fund of €2,800 is up for grabs in Abbey Centre, Ballyshannon this Friday, 11th December, in a Special Christmas Bingo. The final house of the evening is a whopping €1,000 with numerous smaller prizes also up for grabs. The balls start rolling at 9pm sharp. Double books are priced €15, double books €25 and single books €8.~ SUPPORT AODH RUADH ~
The GAA have teamed up with Vodafone Ireland as an official 'Give Back Partner'. This alliance with Vodafone Ireland provides clubs with an opportunity to raise funds. Any club member using a Vodafone mobile can sign up at www.supportyourgaaclub.ie and 5 percent of their monthly bill will be donated to the club. Along with Gaelic Telecom's promotion whereby club members can nominate the club and 15 percent of your monthly bill will also be donated to the club. These are two effective and cost free methods of generating funds for the club.~ AGM ~
The Aodh Ruadh club Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday 3rd January in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh at 5pm. All relevant officers are asked to return their reports for the year to John Magee, preferably via e-mail to secretary.aodhruadh.donegal@gaa.ie or info@aodhruadh.org, at their earliest possible convenience.

A wee reminder, there's a fun table organised by Aodh Ruadh hurling committee in aid of underage hurling in the club on Thursday 17th December in Owen Roes beginning at 9.30pm. ~ HURLING ~
A great crowd attended the quiz organised by the Aodh Ruadh Hurling Committee last Thursday in Owen Roes. 17 tables took part raising over €900 for underage hurling in the club. Thanks to all who took part and supported this event. Liam Flaherty's team came out on top and they won the beautiful picture frames sponsored by Belleek Pottery. Thanks to all the sponsors who donated great raffle prizes. From Ballyshannon: Maggie's Restaurant, Fin McCool's, Sean Rooney Butchers, Abbey Garage, Novel Idea, O'Neill's Sports, Mace, Tricia's Hair Salon, and Max Bar. From Belleek: Belleek Pottery, Carlton Hotel, Sean O'Connor Electrical, Grainne's Beauty Salon, Gilmartin's Gift Shop, McGraths Gift Shop, Rooney's Centra, and Straddle Filling Station. Thanks also to the Pantry Restaurant in Laghey and All Sports in Donegal Town.
